Hudson Valley And Schenectady To Host Two-Part Transfer Day

Hudson Valley Community College and Schenectady County Community College will host a joint Transfer Day on October 8. The event, which will feature representatives from 50 four-year colleges, will take place in two sessions: at Hudson Valley's Bulmer Telecommunications Center from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m.; and at Schenectady County Community College from 11:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Sponsored by the Northeastern Association of Two-Year Colleges, the Transfer Day will allow Hudson Valley and Schenectady's students to gather information about four-year colleges located throughout the Northeast. The public is invited to attend either session.
Hudson Valley Community College, located in Troy, offers more than 50 degree and certificate programs in four academic divisions: Business; Engineering and Industrial Technologies; Health Science; and Liberal Arts and Sciences; and an Educational Opportunity Center for academic and career training. One of 30 community colleges in the State University of New York system, it has an enrollment of more than 11,000 students, and is known as a leader in distance learning initiatives and workforce training.
