DETAILS:

The Daniel Pearl Foundation was founded in the memory of Daniel Pearl, an investigative journalist who was kidnapped and murdered in Karachi, Pakistan in February 2002 while researching a story. The foundation was formed by Daniel’s family and friends to continue his mission and to address the root causes of this tragedy. Due to Daniel’s love for music, the foundation created Daniel Pearl World Music Days, to be held sometime during October, the month of his birthday, where people around the world come together to foster cross-cultural understanding through music in a celebration of peace. All events are free and open to the public.
