President Matonak, who has nearly 30 years of experience in higher education, begins his tenure as Hudson Valley's sixth president on Monday, April 18, 2005.
He comes to Hudson Valley after serving as president of Northwest Iowa Community College in Sheldon, Iowa, for three years. Prior to that, he served as vice president for student development at Lakeland Community College, in Kirtland, Ohio, an 11,000-student college located just outside of Cleveland.
The college's Board of Trustees selected President Matonak for the job in November 2004, after a year-long presidential search process that actively involved faculty, staff, alumni, students and community members.
||The Guenther Enrollment Services Center is located next to the visitor's parking lot. To reach the visitor's lot, enter campus via North Road, and take the second right; the visitor's lot is straight ahead. The Guenther building has a glass façade, with a curved roof.
