The Public Administration Studies curriculum is designed for both recent
high school graduates and for persons presently employed in the public
sector who wish to work toward an Associate in Applied Science degree.
Students are taught the skills necessary for a broad range of professional
and para-professional positions found in federal, state, county and municipal
governments. In addition to preparing students for initial entry
to the public service, present employees are taught to discharge better
the duties of their positions. The curriculum prepares them for
advancement to other positions within the government.
Degree requirements can be fulfilled through evening course offerings.
In addition, the department is undertaking initiatives to offer
selected courses through the college's Distance Learning Program.
Graduates who wish to continue their education transfer to programs
such as Business Administration and Public Affairs.
