Career Opportunities and Counseling

Job placement for our graduates has traditionally been very high. For the past several years, 100 percent of graduates choosing the field have found employment. Various career opportunities exist in dental hygiene, including work in private practice, hospitals, nursing homes, school health programs, community health projects, and the military. Graduates also have entered dental sales, education, research, administration and professional consulting. Several students each year continue their education at a four-year college or university. Starting salaries for hygienists range from $18,000 to $35,000.

The Center for Careers and Employment is available to students and graduates for placement in the field and career counseling.
