Applied Technology Education Center (ATEC)

ATEC, an $85 million, 130,000-square-foot workforce training center, will provide comprehensive, skills-oriented education and training for a STEM-capable workforce in several industries requiring skilled labor, including semiconductor manufacturing, transportation, offshore wind, and building system technologies. Its design represents a collaborative effort with industry partners to ensure the facilities and programs offered will deliver top-tier applied technology training for the workforce of tomorrow, addressing the industry’s skills gap and growing the region’s economy.

Through a wide range of credit and non-credit programs, ATEC will prepare students to participate in the applied technology workforce of tomorrow. By using state-of-the-art equipment and resources in a cutting-edge facility, the college will be able to expand its program capacity and further its training opportunities for students in both short- and long-term programs. Currently, the college’s workforce development programs train about 500 individuals per year; the addition of ATEC and expansion of programming is anticipated to increase that number to about 15,000 trained by 2035.

Please join us for a celebratory evening to benefit the ATEC campaign.
