In 2009, the Association of EOC Directors instituted an essay contest in which each center requested students submit a short description of how the EOC changed their life. Over the past two years, the Capital District EOC has more than thirty essays, each one a testament to how students have benefited personally and professionally as a result of the outstanding learning environment that exists at our Center. The three top essay winners received monetary rewards for their essays. Below are the complete essays from the top prize winners as well as excerpts from the other submissions.
