Jenna Brophy
Inducted: Spring 2013
Bio: Jenna is a Respiratory Care major who was inducted into PTK during her second semester at Hudson Valley Community College. Jenna plays tennis for HVCC and she recently won the 2012-13 Chancellor's Scholar-Athlete Award after a perfect 9-0 season. During the Spring 2013 semester, Jenna became PTK's secretary/treasurer. She plans to complete her degree at Hudson Valley in 2015, and go on to work as a Respiratory Therapist. She would eventually like to get her RN.

Matt Whalen
Inducted: Spring 2012
Bio: Matt attended HVCC from 2011-2012, and served as PTK's Vice President for Public Relations after he was inducted into the honor society.
Matt was also was very active elsewhere on the campus, serving as the Senior Class President, Student Senate Business Senator, Safety committee, and Ethics and Conduct committee representative. Also a recipient of the SUNY Chancellors award for Student Excellence, when asked of his favorite memory at Hudson Valley, he replied "Without a doubt my time as a Phi Theta Kappa Officer. The memories, experiences, and friends I have gained from my time there were more rewarding then I could ever imagined." He is an honors Business Administration graduate who is now studying at The University at Albany for his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. He hopes to complete his MBA and pursue a career in the Human Resources field after graduation.

Joanne Aclan

Inducted: Fall 2012
Bio: Joanne, PTK's current Vice President for Public Relations, is studying Business Administration at Hudson Valley. As VP for Public Relations, Joanne manages our Facebook page and advertising events around campus. When Joanne graduates in December 2013, she plans to transfer to SUNY Binghampton for her MBA in Accounting. She hopes to work as a Public Accountant in a Big 4 Accounting firm after graduation. Joanne is also a member of HVCC's Circle K, and Habitat for Humanity clubs.

Lynette S. Quiachon
Inducted: Fall 2012
Bio: Lynette is a Health Information and Management Technician major who was inducted into PTK during her second semester at Hudson Valley Community College. She said that she attempted college when she was younger but did not have lofty aspirations, and simply wanted to bring home a passing grade. Now, as a mature adult, she says she is very glad that she was recognized by Phi Theta Kappa for her hard work in her studies. Lynette currently works as a waitress, and is looking forward to graduating with an Associate of Applied Science in 2014.
