Maureen Stapleton Theatre

The Maureen Stapleton Theatre seats 350 people and is located at the north end of the Siek Campus Center. This intimate space was named after the renowned actress who was a native of Troy, New York. The Maureen Stapleton Theatre reopened in fall 2006 after extensive renovations, including improved amenities such as a new lobby area.

The theatre stage is semi-thrust, with seating wrapped around the front three sides of the stage, offering audience members a great view from every seat. A technical booth is located at the rear of the theatre, where stage lighting and sound can be monitored.

The Maureen Stapleton Theatre has welcomed many diverse, local and international artists such as the Ellen Sinopoli Dance Company, Le Trio Gershwin and Irish poet John Doorty.
