Freshman point guard Megan Davis of Greenwich
was recently presented with Hudson Valley Community College's President's
Award for Hustle. The award is presented each year to the student-athlete
whose hard work, determination, hustle and attitude have enabled them to
make valuable contributions to their team.
In large part because of Davis's gritty play,
Hudson Valley's women's basketball team posted a 24-3 record in 2000-01.
In addition to routinely defending the opposing team's best offensive player,
the 5-foot-4 Davis averaged 6.4 points, 3.4 rebounds and 3.0 assists per
