Hudson Valley Women’s Basketball Defeats Adirondack

The Hudson Valley Community College (10-12) women’s basketball defeated Adirondack Community College, 53-43, this evening in Troy.

Sophomore forward Amber Batzold (Albany/Colonie High School) led the Lady Vikings with 22 points, 11 rebounds, five blocks and four steals. Sophomore forward Erika Russo (Salem/Salem High School) also posted a double-double with 12 points and 16 rebounds.

Judi Durkin (Warrensburg) paced Adirondack (4-14) with 17 points, all of which came in the second half.

Hudson Valley, which has won six of its last seven games since the start of the spring semester, is off until February 5 when it visits Adirondack in Queensbury.
