Hughes’ Career Night Leads Hudson Valley Past Adirondack

Freshman guard Jenna Hughes (Poestenkill/Averill Park High School) registered a triple-double in leading the Hudson Valley Community College (12-11/11-9 Region III) women’s basketball team to a 95-67 win at Adirondack Community College on Monday.

Hughes poured in 39 points to go along with 10 rebounds and 10 steals. Her point total is the most for the Lady Vikings since former All-American guard Lindsey Bradt had 40 in a win over Finger Lakes Community College on November 2, 2001.

Sophomore Molly McGuire (Ravena/Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk High School) and freshman Erika Russo (Salem/Salem High School) had 22 and 16 points, respectively, for the Lady Vikings, who posted their highest scoring output of the season.
