Women's Basketball Loses at Corning

The Hudson Valley Community College (9-18) women's basketball team fell to Corning Community College, 69-60, on Monday in Corning.

Erica Kelsey led Corning (11-16) with 22 points and six rebounds.

Sophomore forward Elizabeth Ferenczy (Coxsackie/Coxsackie-Athens High School) paced Hudson Valley with 25 points and 16 rebounds. Sophomore Kate Collins (Eagle Mills/Tamarac High School) contributed 12 points, 10 rebounds, five assists and three steals.

Hudson Valley (60): Eryn Hockler 0-2-2, Kate Collins 4-5-13, Candra Scott 0-3-3, Paige Chadwick 1-0-2, Stacey Swan 5-0-11, Amanda Carroll 2-0-4, Elizabeth Ferenczy 11-3-25, Totals: 23-13-60.

Corning: Spalding 5-4-17, Frunzi 4-0-8, Schiefen 4-1-10, Coupe 3-0-6, Malone 1-0-2, Kelsey 9-4-22, Rucker 0-4-4, Totals: 26-13-69.
