Lady Vikings Defeat Clinton, 44-39

Sophomore guard Jocelyn Moy (Greenwich/Greenwich High School) finished with 21 points and eight rebounds to lead the Hudson Valley Community College (1-1) women's basketball team to a 44-39 win over Clinton Community College (0-1) earlier tonight in Troy.

Clinton led 34-33 with 11:01 remaining in the contest before the Lady Vikings went on a 7-0 run over the next nine minutes to take a 40-34 lead they would not relinquish.

Sophomore forward Elizabeth Ferenczy (Coxsackie/Coxsackie-Athens High School) added eight points and 12 boards for the Vikings.

Kari Garrand (Champlain) led Clinton with 12 points. Heidi Christon (Saranac) added 11 points.

Hudson Valley will visit North Country Community College on Saturday, November 6. The game tips off at 3 p.m.
