Delhi, N.Y., January 18, 2002 – The Lady Vikings hit 63 percent of their field goal attempts (44-of-70) as they downed SUNY Delhi, 101-28, on the road tonight.

Center Meghan Squires (Hoosic Valley H.S.) led Hudson Valley with a career-high 31 points, connecting on 14-of-23 field goal attempts. She also had 10 rebounds and five steals. All-American Lindsey Bradt (Bishop Maginn H.S.) had yet another stellar game; the guard/forward made all 10 of her field goal attempts, contributing 21 points, five rebounds and four steals.

Hudson Valley, ranked No. 7 in the nation among Division III junior colleges, is now 12-3 overall.

Carolyn Keeler (Cohoes H.S.) had 12 points for the Lady Vikings, and Megan Davis (Greenwich H.S.) had 10 points, five assists and seven steals.

In the 2000-01 academic year, Hudson Valley's athletic teams combined to win 72 percent of their contests. The ice hockey team won the NJCAA championship, the baseball team earned a berth in the NJCAA World Series and the football team won the Region III title. The women's basketball team earned a No. 1 national ranking and turned in a 24-3 record while the men's hoop squad competed in the Region III championship game. Additionally, two Vikings earned Region III Player-of-the-Year status, 20 were named All-Region III performers, and 10 were honored with All-American status.
