Moy's 24 Points Lead Hudson Valley Past Schenectady

Freshman guard Jocelyn Moy (Greenwich/Greenwich High School) finished with 24 points to pace the Hudson Valley Community College women's basketball team to a 61-50 win over Schenectady County Community College in the quarterfinals of the NJCAA Region III Division III tournament in Watertown.
Hudson Valley (19-10), the tournament's No. 4 seed, advances to the Region III semifinals for the fourth straight season and will meet top-seeded Mohawk Valley Community College on Saturday. Schenectady finishes its season at 17-9.
With her 24 points, Moy has become the all-time leading freshman scorer with 497 points. She surpassed Lindsey Bradt, who amassed 495 points during her freshman year in 2000-01.
Sophomore forward Latrice Cowart (Severn, MD/Meade High School) added 16, and freshman guard Kate Collins (Troy/Tamarac High School) contributed 10 points for the Lady Vikings.
