Volleyball Loses Three Matches at Tough Fulton-Montgomery Tournament

The Hudson Valley Community College volleyball team fell to three of the region's top teams at the Fulton-Montgomery Invitational on Saturday. Onondaga Community College, ranked first in the latest Region III poll, defeated Hudson Valley 30-13, 30-10. The Lady Vikings also suffered a 30-8, 30-13 loss to third-ranked Mohawk Valley Community College, and a 22-30, 30-18, 15-11 defeat to host Fulton-Montgomery Community College.
Freshmen Rachel Bishop (Red Hook/Red Hook High School) and Kathryn Chandler (Warwick/Warwick Valley High School) led the Hudson Valley attack. Bishop finished with 11 kills, nine blocks and 16 digs on the day. Chandler had 10 kills, 10 blocks and 12 digs. Sophomore setter Courtney Ross (Ravena/Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk High School) had 35 assists and 12 digs.
Hudson Valley will host SUNY Morrisville at 6 p.m. on Monday, September 15.
