Tennis Falls at Broome

The Hudson Valley Community College (1-2) tennis team suffered a 7-2 setback at defending Region III champion Broome Community College (5-0) on Monday night.
Hudson Valley was swept in singles action but took two out of three doubles matches. Freshmen Kim Wintergerst (Glenville/Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake High School) and Mary Nquyen (Albany/Colonie High School) teamed up to win at No. 1 doubles, and freshman Andrea Tedesco (North Greenbush/Columbia High School) and sophomore Desiray Cisar (Esperance/Schoharie High School) won at No. 2 doubles.
Hudson Valley will host SUNY Cobleskill at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, September 22.
