Men’s Basketball Holds off Broome

The Hudson Valley Community College Men’s Basketball team (21-2) used a strong defensive effort in the second half to defeat Broome Community College, 58-42, Tuesday evening.

Leading 27-26 at the half, the Vikings held the Hornets to 16 second-half points to pull away for the victory. Ramel Alexander (Albany HS/Albany) led the Vikings with 19 points and six rebounds.

The team is back in action on Thursday, Feb. 5, when they travel to face Mohawk Valley Community College.
