Hudson Valley Men's Basketball Defeats Clinton

The Hudson Valley Community College (4-4) men's basketball team raced out to a 33-19 halftime lead and held on to defeat Clinton Community College, 72-59, tonight in the McDonough Sports Complex.
Freshman center Larry Tape (Cicero/Cicero-North Syracuse High School) was one of two Hudson Valley players to register a double-double on the night. Tape finished with 16 points, 12 rebounds and four blocks. Sophomore forward Bill Heslin (Schaghticoke/Hoosic Valley High School) added 10 points and 10 boards.
In addition to Hudson Valley's inside game, sophomore guard Tim Kindlon (Delmar/Bethlehem High School) hit a trio of three pointers and finished with 12 points. Freshman guard Maurice Frye (Middletown/Middletown High School) chipped in 10 points and six rebounds.
Freshman forward Chris Castine (Saranac High School) finished with 13 points to lead Clinton (2-10).
Hudson Valley will travel to SUNY Cobleskill on Thursday, December 4. The game tips off at 7 p.m. Cobleskill is ranked No. 6 in the latest NJCAA Division III poll.
