Men's Basketball Makes Home Debut

The Hudson Valley Community College men's basketball team took to the McDonough Sports Complex court for the first time this season in a scrimmage against Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts. The teams played two 20-minute halves. MCLA won the opening half, 41-23. However, Hudson Valley rebounded to take the second half, 40-34.
Freshman guard Maurice Frye (Middletown/Middletown High School) had 14 points and five rebounds on the night for the Vikings. Sophomore center Bill Heslin (Schaghticoke/Hoosic Valley High School) contributed 13 points, nine rebounds and two blocks, and sophomore guard Tim Kindlon (Delmar/Bethlehem High School) added 10 points.
Hudson Valley's season opener is scheduled for 3 p.m. on Sunday, November 2 against Cayuga Community College.
