Hudson Valley Lacrosse Shuts Out Canton

The Hudson Valley Community College (3-2/1-1 Region III)lacrosse team posted its first shutout in eight years in an 18-0 win over SUNY Canton (0-2/0-2 Region III) today in Troy.

Sophomore goaltender Ryan DeJordy (Troy/Columbia High School) had 13 saves to preserve the first Viking shutout since a 17-0 win over Montgomery-Rockville in 1999.

Nine different players scored for Hudson Valley, which scored seven second quarter goals to take a 10-0 into halftime. Freshman Ryan Fleming (Riverdale/Shenendehowa High School) and sophomore Matt Lanzelotti (Lynbrook/Greenville High School) each tallied three goals. Sophomore Ian MacMaster (Albany/LaSalle Institute) added two goals and three assists.
