Hudson Valley Lacrosse Defeats Cobleskill in Overtime

Sophomore Joe Whaley (Schenectady/Schenectady High School) scored 1:03 into sudden-death overtime to lift the Hudson Valley Community College (3-2) lacrosse team to a 15-14 win over SUNY Cobleskill (1-6) earlier today in Troy.

Whaley finished the game with a team-high five goals. Sophomore Willie Munoz (Clifton Park/Shenendehowa High School) had four goals and two assists, and sophomore Eric DeSalvatore (Clifton Park/Shenendehowa High School) added three goals.

Freshman Joe Coppola (Mechanicville/Shenendehowa High School) made 16 saves in net for the Vikings, who have won two straight games.

Freshman Ryan Perkins (Glens Falls/Glens Falls High School) led Cobleskill with five goals.
