Hudson Valley Moves To 4-2-1 With 4-3 EJCHL Win

Troy, N.Y., November 20, 2001 – Second-year forward Mike Santamoor (Saratoga H.S.) notched three goals, including the game-winner, as Hudson Valley Community College defeated North Country Community College, 4-3, tonight. The Eastern Junior College Hockey League game, which kicked off with a ceremony to honor last year's national championship team – Hudson Valley's 2001 Region III and national championship banners were raised and championship rings were distributed – was played at Hudson Valley's Conway Ice Arena.

The Vikings are now 4-2-1 overall. North Country is 0-4.

Santamoor scored Hudson Valley's first, second and final goals. The goal that secured the victory came at 13:19 in the third period, about two minutes after Brian Mohan (La Salle Institute) tallied for the Vikings.

Dean Vandervort (Northern Burlington H.S., NJ) contributed a pair of assists, and Jason Vasco (CBA), last season's Region III Player of the Year, made 28 saves for the Vikings.
