Hudson Valley Hockey Skates Past Ramapo Rangers

The Hudson Valley Community College (11-11-2) ice hockey team skated to a
7-2 win over the Ramapo Junior Rangers on Saturday in Englewood, N.J.
Sophomores Jeff Beecher (South Glens Falls/South Glens Falls High School) and Mike Devoid (Berwick, ME/Noble High School) each had two goals for Hudson Valley. Freshmen Kevin O’Connell (Schenectady/Colonie High School) and Jeff Reinhart (Troy/Lansingburgh High School) and sophomore Brent Fryer (Delmar/Bethlehem High School) also scored for the Vikings.
Sophomore Carmen Guyer (Melrose/Hoosic Valley High School) stopped 14 of the 16 shots he faced to pick up the win in net for Hudson Valley.
Hudson Valley will host Hoosac School at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February
28 in a final tune-up game before playing in the NJCAA Tournament next weekend in Buffalo.
