Hudson Valley Allowed Six Third Period Goals In Loss to Monroe

The Monroe Community College (16-4-0/9-1-0 Region III) ice hockey team scored six unanswered goals in the third period and defeated Hudson Valley Community College, 6-1, earlier tonight in Troy.

Freshman Ryan Gaiek (Canandaigua) netted three goals to lead the Tribunes.

Hudson Valley (6-7-1/2-7-1 Region III) opened the scoring, 3:51 into the second period, on a goal by freshman Devin Krichbaum (Pattersonville/Sault Area, MI High School). The goal was assisted by freshmen Travis Larson (Burnt Hills/Burnt Hills High School) and Jeff Weaver (Abington, PA/Uppermoreland High School).

Hudson Valley will return to action on Wednesday, January 28 at Hamilton JV.
