Two Vikings Given NFC Honors

Two Hudson Valley Community College Vikings garnered conference awards for their individual performances in the win against Lackawanna this past Saturday. Kadeem Hall accepts his second such accolade of the season, this time as the Defensive Player of the Week after winning the same award for special teams in week one. Kicker David Fox collects his first award of the season for special teams as he had a tremendous week kicking.
Both performances helped to solidify the win against Lackawanna CC as the Vikings are now 2-1 (1-0) in 2009.
The Vikings take on defending conference champions Dean College in the Hudson Valley Community College Homecoming Game this Saturday, Sept. 26.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK:
Kadeem Hall: Hudson Valley
Hall picked off three Lackawanna passes in the Vikings’ 36-10 victory. He returned the picks for a total of 20 yards.
SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK:
David Fox: Hudson Valley
Fox was three for three in field goal attempts in the Vikings’ victory. He connected on field goals of 37, 41, and 26 yards. He was also 3 for 4 in PAT attempts.
