Hudson Valley’s Eugene Cooper Recognized by Northeast Football Conference

Eugene Cooper (Mount Vernon/Mount Vernon High School), a freshman wide receiver on the Hudson Valley Community College football team, was named the Northeast Football Conference Offensive Player of the Week for his performance in Hudson Valley’s 21-7 win over Alfred State College last Saturday, September 22.
Cooper caught six passes for 101 yards and two touchdowns in the win, including a 59-yard touchdown catch and run in the final three minutes to seal the game. Cooper also set up the game’s first touchdown by returning the opening kickoff 39 yards into Pioneers territory.
Hudson Valley (3-1) returns to action this Saturday, September 29 whit it visits Erie Community College.
