Hudson Valley Women’s Soccer and Cross Country Teams in National Polls

The Hudson Valley Community College women’s soccer and women’s cross country teams are having good seasons and each are represented in their respected NJCAA Division III national polls this week.
The women’s soccer team enters the poll this week at No. 10 in the country. The Lady Vikings are off to a 6-3-1 start. Sophomore Brenna Mereness (Castleton/Maple Hill High School) leads the team and ranks seventh in the nation in scoring with 15 goals and three assists. Sophomore Laurel Good
(Brainard) has seven goals on the year.
The Lady Vikings will return to action this Thursday, October 4 when they host Fulton-Montgomery Community College at 4 p.m.
The women’s cross country team is ranked No. 8 in the country in this week’s poll. The lady Vikings are coming off a 6th place finish out of 14 schools at the Bard Invitational on Saturday, September 22. Freshman Kalynn Wren (Salem/Salem High School) has been the Lady Vikings top runner all season. She finished 19th out of 104 competitors at Bard.
Hudson Valley returns to action this Friday, October 5 when it competes in The College of Saint Rose Invitational.
