Men’s & Women’s Bowling Open Season

The Hudson Valley Community College men’s bowling team finished 32nd out of 35 teams at the Roto Grip Keystone Quaker Classic, and finished 29th out of 36 teams at the Lehigh Valley Collegiate Classic.

James Pelton (LaSalle/Troy) led the men in the Keystone Quaker Classic with a 213 high-game and 920 five-game series. Dean Smith (Mechanicville/Mechanicville) rolled a high-game of 212 with an 882 five-game series at the Lehigh Valley Classic.

The women finished 8th out of 16 teams at the Roto Grip Keystone Quaker Classic, and 12th out of 15 teams at the Lehigh Valley Collegiate Classic.

Jennifer Lynch (Colonie/Utica) and Megan Rzeszuto (Colonie/Schenectady) were the top women bowlers for the Vikings in the Keystone Quaker Classic. Lynch bowled a 212 high-game with a 921 five-game series, and Rzeszuto rolled a 202 high-game with a 920 five-game series. Freshman Mary Passineau (Hoosic Valley/Pittstown) had a strong performance at the Lehigh Valley Classic as she finished fourth overall for the entire women’s field. Passineau bowled a 268 game-high, which was the high for the women’s field.

The men’s and women’s bowling teams travel to Utica for the Hawk Invitational on Sunday, Jan. 19 at 9 a.m.
