Columbia Grad Melissa Blair Earns MVP Award For Women's Bowling Squad

Columbia High School graduate Melissa Blair
was recently named Most Valuable Player of Hudson Valley Community College's
2000-01 women's bowling team. She also earned First Team All-Mountain Valley
Conference and First Team All-American status.
Blair posted a 192 average in 2000-01, second
highest among female bowlers in the Mountain Valley Conference. She also
placed second in the All-Events and doubles competition at the NJCAA championships.
Hudson Valley Community College, located in Troy,
offers more than 50 degree and certificate programs in four academic divisions;
Business; Engineering and Industrial Technologies; Health Sciences; and
Liberal Arts and Sciences. One of 30 community colleges in the State University
of New York system, Hudson Valley has an enrollment of more than 9,000
students each year, and is known as a leader in distance learning initiatives
and worker retraining.
