Troy, NY – Mike Guillod drove in five runs, including hitting a 3-run home run during a six-run third inning as Hudson Valley Community College won its fifth straight game with a 12-3 win over Adirondack Community College today in college baseball action at Joe Bruno Stadium.

Pitcher Zeke Schriefer helped out his own cause with a two-run triple to right center to give Adirondack its only lead of the game.

Hudson Valley regained the lead in the bottom half of the third inning and chased Schriefer with five runs to take a 6-2 lead. Rich Gulliod led off with a walk and Schriefer hit John Barna to bring up Mike Guillod, who drove a 1-0 pitch deep over the 325-foot sign in left field for his first home run of the season. Later in the inning, Marc Peluso added a two-run single to right field off new Adirondack pitcher Ed Corlew to give the Vikings a commanding 8-2 lead.

In the seventh inning, Guillod drove in two more runs to finish the day 2-for-5 with a season-high five runs batted in. With Hudson Valley ahead, 12-3, the game was called because of the run rule.

Max Keado went 2-for-4, with a season-high two runs batted in while Mike McCrone went 3-for-4 with one run batted in. Marc Peluso and Jeremy Villano also drove in two runs for the Vikings, who swept the season series from the Timberwolves.
