Appointments can be made NOW
by calling (518) 629-7250 or by stopping Higbee Hall, room 109.

Students may elect to arrange their own schedule for the term online after meeting with an advisor to discuss their schedule and course choices. However, students must schedule all of their student teaching courses with an academic advisor. Students are encouraged to register early to avoid disappointment and to insure obtaining a seat in the courses required.

The Student Program Plan (Early Childhood) (Teaching Assistant) outline the required courses by term. Use this as a guide. Next look up the CRN # for each course in Hudson Valley WIReD.

Set up an appointment with your advisor. Check with your academic advisor to determine which student teaching field section number is yours for the upcoming term. You must schedule into that section first with your advisor as a seat has been reserved for you. Next check with an advisor to receive your AVN number to self-schedule or continue to complete your schedule with the advisor. The office hours are posted on each advisor office door in Higbee Hall, room 109 or 212.

When you plan to make an appointment to see an advisor, to alleviate wait-time, please bring the following to your advisement session:

  1. The completed Student Program Plan (Early Childhood) (Teaching Assistant)

  2. Your student ID number.

  3. The CRN numbers for the courses you would like to take.

  4. If you are enrolled in our Teaching Assistant Program, please review the program plan attached and bring it to your advisement session.

Be sure to schedule early!
