Higbee Hall Data Center Shut-down Scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 14 on Hold
UPDATE at 3 p.m. Friday, Feb. 13
There is a scheduled electrical power outage requiring a full shut-down of the Higbee Hall Data Center beginning at 3 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 14. The majority of services affected will be supported by the Administration Building Data Center and remain operational on the main campus. The college's Information Technology Services (ITS) will have staff on-site to work in conjunction with Physical Plant employees to minimize any potential, unexpected impact to students, faculty and staff. Once power is restored, it will take an additional two hours to bring Higbee services back online.
PLEASE NOTE: The shut-down scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 14 is now on hold and will be rescheduled. An updated announcement will be posted when it is rescheduled.
While ITS is working to minimize service outages during the required shut-down, the campus community should plan for the following potential outages based on a possible Internet outage:
Office locations at Jordan Rd., 175 Central Ave., and the Educational Opportunity Center in Albany will have an interruption in telephone and network connectivity beginning at 3 a.m. until Higbee services are restored. However, 911 emergency services will remain available at these locations.

- On- and off-campus Blackboard access
- On- and off-campus e-mail receipt/delivery

We will keep the campus community apprised of any changes to the information above.
