The Hudson Valley Community College School of Business will hold an Information Night from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 13 at TEC-SMART (Training and Education Center for Semiconductor Manufacturing and Alternative and Renewable Technologies) for anyone interested in learning more about degree and certificate programs in Entrepreneurship and Business Administration being offered at the Malta facility beginning this spring.
Students can complete an associate degree in either program in two years by attending classes Monday through Friday from 8 to 11 a.m. and taking some courses online. The one-year Entrepreneurship certificate can be completed through evening classes held Monday through Friday from 6 to 8 p.m., in addition to some online courses.
Prospective students may meet with advisors and be scheduled for classes at Information Night.
Phillip White, Dean for the School of Business and the School of Engineering and Industrial Technologies at Hudson Valley, said, “These new offerings at TEC-SMART are ideal for business students who prefer to study in the Malta or Saratoga County area, and for those who want a complete schedule of classes within a prescribed block of time, leaving them free to pursue other activities for the remainder of their day.”
The Information Night also is an opportunity to learn about the Clean Technologies and Sustainable Industries Early College High School (ECHS), sponsored by the Ballston Spa School District in conjunction with Hudson Valley and NYSERDA (New York State Energy Resource Development Authority).
TEC-SMART is located at 345 Hermes Road, in NYSERDA’s Saratoga Technology + Energy Park®.
