Delanson Resident Gets President's Award for Excellence in Teaching at Hudson Valley

Michele Woodbeck of Delanson was recently honored with the President's Award for Excellence in Teaching at Hudson
Valley Community College.
Woodbeck is an associate professor of Nursing, and has been an instructor at the college since 1986. She has taught a
variety of courses in the nursing curriculum, including clinical and classroom instruction in surgical, pediatric and
maternity nursing skills. She also has been instrumental in creating a college course that implements computer technology
into the college's nursing training.
The President's Award for Excellence in Teaching is given annually to faculty members who display an outstanding
commitment to teaching and to the students of Hudson Valley Community College. Nominations come from academic
colleagues and students.
"Michele has a real dedication to the nursing profession, and to the students of Hudson Valley Community College," said
college President John Buono.
Woodbeck has a bachelor's degree in Nursing from D'Youville College in Buffalo. She received a master's degree in
Nursing from Russell Sage College.
