Family Day at Hudson Valley

Hudson Valley Community College's annual Family Day will be held on Saturday, August 25. College officials expect approximately 800 students and 1,500 family members to attend the activities, which are scheduled to run from 8:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. The event begins at the McDonough Sports Complex.

The day's speakers will include Hudson Valley President John Buono and newly elected Student Senate President Loren Felsman, as well various student service representatives. Department chairs and student advisors also will be on hand.

Family Day will conclude with a student/family picnic on the lawn in front of Hudson Hall from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Hudson Valley Community College, located in Troy, offers more than 50 degree and certificate programs in four academic divisions; Business; Engineering and Industrial Technologies; Health Sciences; and Liberal Arts and Sciences. One of 30 community colleges in the State University of New York system, Hudson Valley Community College has an enrollment of more than 9,000 students each year, and is known as a leader in distance learning initiatives and worker retraining.
