Troy Resident is Educational Opportunity Center Merit Award Recipient

Jaime Mackey of Troy, a retention specialist at the Capital District Educational Opportunity Center (EOC), has received a Merit Award for professional service to the institution.
Mackey has been employed at the EOC since 2004. Previously, she served as a technical assistant in the Career Training Options Program at Hudson Valley Community College. She has an associate’s degree in accounting from Hudson Valley.
The EOC, a division of Hudson Valley Community College, delivers comprehensive, community-based academic and workforce development programs and provides support services leading to enhanced employment opportunities, access to further education, personal growth and development.
Founded in 1953, Hudson Valley Community College offers more than 70 degree and certificate programs in four schools: Business; Engineering and Industrial Technologies; Health Science; and Liberal Arts and Sciences; and an Educational Opportunity Center for academic and career training. One of 30 community colleges in the State University of New York system, it has an enrollment of more than 12,000 students, and is known as a leader in distance learning initiatives and workforce training. Hudson Valley has more than 64,000 alumni.
