Greenwich Student Lacey Timmins Honored by Hudson Valley Community College

Lacey Timmins of Greenwich, a 2007 graduate of Hudson Valley Community College’s Dental Hygiene program, was recently honored by the college.
Timmins received the HuFriedy Golden Scaler Award, which is given to an outstanding graduate of the Dental Hygiene program.
An honor student, she plans to enter the dental hygiene field in private practice and pursue volunteer activities related to children’s dental health.
Founded in 1953, Hudson Valley Community College offers more than 70 associate’s degree and certificate programs in four schools: Business; Engineering and Industrial Technologies; Health Science; and Liberal Arts and Sciences; and also sponsors an Educational Opportunity Center for academic and career training. One of 30 community colleges in the State University of New York system, it has an enrollment of more than 12,000 students, and is known as a leader in distance learning initiatives and workforce training. Hudson Valley has more than 60,000 alumni.
