Middleburgh Student Sarah Buckley Honored by Hudson Valley Community College

Sarah Buckley of Middleburgh, a 2007 graduate of Hudson Valley Community College’s Mortuary Science program, was recently honored by the college.
Buckley received two honors: Excellence in Technical Skills in Restorative Art, and Outstanding Achievement and Academic Excellence in Restorative Art.
She is beginning a residency at the Betz, Rossi and Bellinger Family Funeral Home in Amsterdam. Buckley was an honor student at the college.
Founded in 1953, Hudson Valley Community College offers more than 70 associate’s degree and certificate programs in four schools: Business; Engineering and Industrial Technologies; Health Science; and Liberal Arts and Sciences; and also sponsors an Educational Opportunity Center for academic and career training. One of 30 community colleges in the State University of New York system, it has an enrollment of more than 12,000 students, and is known as a leader in distance learning initiatives and workforce training.
