Glenmont Resident Laura Crandall Honored at Hudson Valley Community College

Laura Crandall of Glenmont, a 2006 graduate of the Hudson Valley Community College Human Services program, was recently honored by the college.
Crandall received the Human Services Award for Excellence, which annually goes to an outstanding student in the college’s Human Services program. She was a President’s List and Dean’s List student while at Hudson Valley and was a member of Phi Theta Kappa, the international honor society for students at two-year colleges. Crandall also received the New York State Federation of Home Bureaus Scholarship in 2005.
She is employed at Bethlehem Central High School and hopes to continue her education at The College of Saint Rose in the fall.
Founded in 1953, Hudson Valley Community College offers more than 60 degree and certificate programs in four schools: Business; Engineering and Industrial Technologies; Health Science; and Liberal Arts and Sciences; and an Educational Opportunity Center for academic and career training.
