Voorheesville Resident Stephen Huse Honored at Hudson Valley Community College \"Photo

Stephen Huse of Voorheesville, a 2006 graduate of the Hudson Valley Community College Engineering Science program, was recently honored by the college.

Huse received the American Society of Mechanical Engineers Student Scholarship, which is awarded to a high-achieving graduating senior in the college’s Engineering Science department. He hopes to continue his study of mechanical engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Huse was named to the President’s List or Dean’s List during all four semesters at Hudson Valley.

He is a member of the Delmar Community Orchestra and Grace Baptist Church.

Founded in 1953, Hudson Valley Community College offers more than 60 degree and certificate programs in four schools: Business; Engineering and Industrial Technologies; Health Science; and Liberal Arts and Sciences; and an Educational Opportunity Center for academic and career training. One of 30 community colleges in the State University of New York system, it has an enrollment of more than 12,000 students, and is known as a leader in distance learning initiatives and workforce training. Hudson Valley has more than 60,000 alumni.
