The Valley View, Hudson Valley Community College's publication for alumni and friends, has received a Gold Award in the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) District II Accolades Awards program.

CASE is the professional organization for advancement professionals at all levels who work in alumni relations, communications and development. More than 3,000 colleges, universities and independent elementary and secondary schools in the United States, Canada, Mexico and 42 other countries are members.
District II is composed of more than 600 institutions of higher education in New York, Delaware, Washington, D.C., Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Ontario, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Founded in 1953, Hudson Valley Community College offers more than 60 degree and certificate programs in four academic divisions: Liberal Arts and Sciences; Engineering and Industrial Technologies; Health Sciences; and Business; as well as programs run through the Educational Opportunity Center offering certification programs in workforce and academic preparation. One of 30 community colleges in the State University of New York system, it has an enrollment of more than 12,000 students, and it is known as a leader in distance learning initiatives and worker retraining. Hudson Valley has nearly 60,000 alumni.
