Reynolds Named Fine Arts, Theater Arts, Broadcast Communications Chairperson at Hudson Valley\"Photo

Dorothy H. Reynolds of East Greenbush has been appointed department chair of Fine Arts, Theater Arts and Broadcast Communications at Hudson Valley Community College.

Reynolds was interim department chair during the 2003-2004 academic year. She served as the executive assistant to former President John Buono since August of 1998.

Prior to coming to Hudson Valley, Reynolds served in a variety of positions at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, most recently as manager of marketing and leasing for the Rensselaer Technology Park.

Reynolds received a bachelor's from SUNY Geneseo and a Master of Public Administration from the University at Albany. She also is a graduate of Harvard Business School's Program for Management Development.

Founded in 1953, Hudson Valley Community College offers more than 50 degree and certificate programs in four academic divisions: Business; Engineering and Industrial Technologies; Health Science; and Liberal Arts and Sciences; and an Educational Opportunity Center for academic and career training. One of 30 community colleges in the State University of New York system, it has an enrollment of more than 11,000 students, and is known as a leader in distance learning initiatives and workforce training. Hudson Valley has nearly 60,000 alumni.
