Public Skating at Hudson Valley Community College's Conway Ice Rink Closed Sunday Due to Power Shutdown

Public skating from 4 to 6:15 p.m. at the Conway Ice Arena at Hudson Valley Community College will be cancelled on Sunday, February 8, due to a power shutdown on campus.

Schedules for hockey league play on Sunday will not be affected by the shutdown.

Public skating hours at the college rink will resume February 9: noon - 2 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 4 - 6:15 p.m., Saturday and Sunday.

The cost for public skating is $3 for adults and $2 for children and senior citizens. Hudson Valley students with a student ID may skate for free. Group discounts are available, as are skate and helmet rentals.

Hudson Valley Community College, located in Troy, offers more than 50 degree and certificate programs in four academic divisions: Business; Engineering and Industrial Technologies; Health Science; and Liberal Arts and Sciences; and an Educational Opportunity Center for academic and career training. One of 30 community colleges in the State University of New York system, it has an enrollment of more than 11,000 students each year, and is known as a leader in distance learning initiatives and workforce training.
