Boggess Appointed Vice President for Institutional Advancement at Hudson Valley Community College

Sarah Boggess of East Greenbush has been appointed Vice President for Institutional Advancement at Hudson Valley Community College, effective September 1. She will oversee a comprehensive internal and external college advancement program, which will include the areas of alumni relations; communications and marketing; development; and government, community and media relations.
Boggess will work closely with the board and staff of the Hudson Valley Community College Foundation, an independent, charitable corporation formed in 1983 to philanthropically support the college's mission.
"This new position will elevate the stature and importance of Foundation-related activities at the college, and will poise us for a renewed focus on resource development as we prepare the college to excel in the 21st century," said President John L. Buono.
Boggess has worked at the college since 1999 as the Director of Communications and Marketing, overseeing the college's advertising campaign, publications, and external and internal communications. She has more than 15 years' experience in the communications and marketing field. She is a graduate of Dartmouth College.
Hudson Valley Community College, located in Troy, offers more than 50 degree and certificate programs in four academic divisions: Business; Engineering and Industrial Technologies; Health Science; and Liberal Arts and Sciences. One of 30 community colleges in the State University of New York system, it has an enrollment of more than 11,000 students, and is known as a leader in distance learning initiatives and workforce training.
