Heather Wyld Honored at Hudson Valley Community College

Heather Wyld of Rensselaer, a 2003 graduate from the Hudson Valley Community College Engineering Science program, recently was honored by the college.
Wyld, a president's list student for all four of her semesters at the college, was the recipient of the Joseph J. Smith RPI Medal, which is given to the student with the highest grade point average in the engineering science program. She will transfer to Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in the fall to study civil engineering.
Hudson Valley Community College, located in Troy, offers more than 50 degree and certificate programs in four academic divisions: Business; Engineering and Industrial Technologies; Health Science; and Liberal Arts and Sciences; and an Educational Opportunity Center for academic and career training. One of 30 community colleges in the State University of New York system, it has an enrollment of more than 11,000 students each year, and is known as a leader in distance learning initiatives and workforce training.
