On April 9, Hudson Valley Community College will host the Capital Region's largest job fair. "Job Fair and Transfer Day 2002" will take place in the college's McDonough Sports Complex from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Hudson Valley is currently seeking employers for the event, which is open to all Hudson Valley students and alumni, as well as students and alumni from the Capital Region's other colleges and universities. Last year, nearly 1,000 job seekers participated, visiting representatives from 183 employers. Top transfer schools also are represented.

Job Fair and Transfer Day provides employers an opportunity to recruit the highly trained and skilled students and graduates of Hudson Valley for full-time and part-time employment, as well as cooperative education and summer employment opportunities. In addition to on-campus recruiting, Job Fair and Transfer Day employers will have access to Hudson Valley's online job bank, where thousands of students and alumni can view job postings.

The cost is $75 per employer, and employers must register by March 8 to be listed in a Job Fair and Transfer Day directory.

For more information or to register, contact Mark Schmiedeshoff at (518) 629-7326 or Schmiedeshoff is director of Hudson Valley's Career Planning & Placement Center.
