Instant Admission and Open House at Hudson Valley Community College TEC-SMART on Saturday, March 28

What: Hudson Valley Community College will host an Open House and Instant Admission Day on Saturday, March 28 at its TEC-SMART (Training and Education Center for Semiconductor Manufacturing and Alternative and Renewable Technologies) facility.

Why: Located in Malta, TEC-SMART is a convenient higher education destination for residents of Saratoga and southern Washington counties. TEC-SMART offers liberal arts, business, general education, semiconductor manufacturing and clean energy courses in a state-of-the-art learning environment.

Who: Representatives of the college’s Admissions, Financial Aid and advisement centers will be on hand to speak with prospective students. The college’s Workforce Development Institute administrators also will be available to discuss credit-free and on-demand training options.

Where: TEC-SMART (Training and Education Center for Semiconductor Manufacturing and Alternative and Renewable Technologies) at 345 Hermes Road in Malta in NYSERDA’s Saratoga Technology + Energy Park®

When: 10 a.m. to noon, Saturday, March 28

Details: Instant Admission offers the opportunity for fee-waived, in-person acceptance to the college. Interested students should bring academic records from high school, GED or college. To begin the financial aid process, they should bring their latest tax returns as well.

The event also will include a panel discussion by current students, curriculum and financial aid advisement and tours of the photovoltaic, semiconductor, geothermal and wind energy labs. In addition, visitors can get information about opportunities for homeschool students, the Clean Technologies Early College High School administered with Ballston Spa Central School District, the MBA program to be offered at TEC-SMART by The Sage Colleges and the college’s credit-free Workforce Development Institute training courses.
