Ballston Spa Schools/Hudson Valley Community College Clean Tech Early College High School Information Night Takes Place on March 21

What: The Ballston Spa Central School District and Hudson Valley Community College are holding an information night to acquaint parents, students, teachers and school district leaders with an innovative program that brings advanced technology education to high school students. The program allows area students to earn up to 25 college credits during their junior and senior years while completing high school courses.

The public is invited to attend this free event which has been rescheduled for Thursday, March 21, 2013 at the Training and Education Center for Semiconductor Manufacturing and Alternative and Renewable Technologies (TEC-SMART) at 345 Hermes Road in Malta.

When: Thursday, March 21, 2013, 6:30 - 8 p.m.

Where: TEC-SMART, 345 Hermes Rd., at the Saratoga Technology + Energy Park® in Malta.

Who: Joseph P. Dragone, Ph.D., Superintendent of the Ballston Spa Central School District, will provide welcome remarks.

Phil White, Dean, School of Business and School of Engineering and Industrial Technologies at Hudson Valley, and Laurel Logan-King, Assistant Superintendent at the Ballston Spa Central School District, will present a Program Overview.

Details: Now in its second year, the Clean Technologies & Sustainable Industries Early College High School is continuing to seek new 11th grade students from across the Capital Region. The agenda for the evening includes testimonials by current students and parents. Registration and additional information is available on the district Web site at

From I-87, take exit 12 for Route 67 east toward Malta.After crossing Route 9, Route 67 becomes Dunning St. Follow through several traffic circles, continuing east.Nearly a mile after the second traffic circle, Dunning curves sharply to the left. Turn right here on Hermes Road to enter the STEP campus. Follow signs for TEC-SMART.
